Meet Cara

Hi, I’m Cara! 👋💚
I’m the proud owner of Cara’s Cwtch & Clip, and the proud dog mum to two wonderful dogs, my 9 year old Lhasa Apso, who started it all, and my 20 month old crazy Springer Spaniel, who certainly keeps me on my toes! 🐾
I’d thought about becoming a dog groomer for many years, but it wasn’t until I got my Lhasa Apso and started grooming him myself that I truly discovered my passion. I absolutely loved everything about it (although he didn’t make it easy — and still doesn’t! 😂), and I knew I’d found something I wanted to turn into a career.
I took the leap and completed my Level 2 and Level 3 City & Guilds qualifications at a fantastic training school in Scotland. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and gave me the opportunity to turn my passion for dogs and grooming into a career.
Although Cara’s Cwtch & Clip is a new business, I’ve been grooming for many years, gaining valuable experience working in a variety of professional grooming salons.
Every dog is an individual 🐾
One thing I strongly believe is that no two dogs are the same. Every dog has their own personality, needs and comfort levels, which is why I tailor every grooming appointment to the individual dog. For some dogs, that might mean taking extra time with drying if they’re not a fan of the high velocity dryer. For others, it may mean working at their own pace, taking regular breaks or even splitting a full groom over multiple appointments if one long session would be too overwhelming. Their comfort and welfare will always come first. 💚
Every dog who visits me is treated as if they were one of my own.
My aim is to build trust and create a positive grooming experience where they feel safe, relaxed and happy, so that coming to see me becomes something they look forward to time and time again. At Cara’s Cwtch & Clip, it’s not just about the groom, it’s about the cwtch, the care and making every dog feel at home. 🐶💚
