Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a groom take?
A full groom typically takes between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the breed and coat condition. We always prioritize your dog's comfort, so we may take a little extra time to ensure they feel completely relaxed and happy.
Do you groom puppies?
Yes, I absolutely love working with puppies! I offer gentle, positive puppy pampers to help them get used to the grooming environment, sounds and handling. We highly recommend starting your puppy pampers as soon as your puppy is fully vaccinated and allowed out.
Can you groom nervous dogs?
Of course. I understand that every dog has their own personality. I offer a calm and patient approach, and I have a range of quieter appointment times available for dogs who may find a busy salon overwhelming.
Do you offer hand stripping?
Yes, I offer hand stripping for suitable coats. This helps maintain the natural texture and appearance of your dog's coat, which is especially beneficial for wire-coated breeds.
What happens if my dog's coat is matted?
If your dog’s coat is matted, I’ll assess it carefully and discuss the safest and most comfortable option with you. In some cases, shaving the coat may be the kindest choice to prevent discomfort and protect your dog’s skin. Your dog’s welfare always comes first.
How often should my dog be groomed?
It depends on your dog's breed and coat type. Generally, most dogs benefit from a full groom every 6 to 8 weeks to keep their coat healthy and their hygiene in check.
What is a Meet & Treat?
A Meet & Treat is a gentle introduction to the salon. It allows your dog to meet me without the pressure of a full groom. They can have a look around, meet me, and have some treats in a relaxed environment, and you can ask any questions you may have before booking in.
How do I book?
You can book online through the Book Now button on our website or get in touch with me directly via WhatsApp. I'll be happy to help you find the best time for your dog and answer any questions you have about the services.
